biblical principles for the total woman's personal growth leading to abundant life
"If I can? echoed Jesus. "All things are possible to him that believes."
- Mark 9:23
Honesty
(Psalm 51:6 & John 8:32)
How do we become an imitator of Christ and learn to live in His likeness? Short answer, it's done in layers of growth called sanctification. God already did His part. Personal growth is our part. Are we learning obedience through what we suffer like Christ (Hebrews 5: 7-10)? Are we growing in wisdom (Luke 2:52) and living a yielded life (John 6:38) that should be increasing toward the likeness of Christ? It starts with honesty.
Dropping the need to impress others, fueled by their opinions (criticism and compliments), is the only starting point. As we dig, the Holy Spirit is the plow of your heart. What does that mean? The phase of purging the hard places or stony ground in our hearts is the work of the Holy Spirit responding to your honesty & surrender to God's process & purpose. You know, the places where we hide the traumatic pains, disappointments, the "why God's," the insecurities, the self-loathing, and low self-esteem.
It has to be exposed. It's the truth of our WHY. It's the truth of where our heart is honestly aligned.
